Alkaline is a unique pain free hair removal system and a great alternative to laser treatments, especially for those fine hairs that laser struggles to remove. HOW ALKALINE WORKS
An Alkaline solution is applied to the face, the solution swells the hair shaft and dissolves and releases the hair from the hair bulb. Over time this action of dissolving the hair from the root is what will eventually destroy the hair bulb and slows the growth. Alkaline also dissolves dead skin cells so it Is a great skin exfoliation.
IS ALKALINE SAFE ON ALL SKIN TYPES?
Alkaline is safe for most skin types including acne skin however it can be a bit strong for an extremely sensitive skin. It cannot cause any damage it may just make the skin red for 12-24 hours post treatment.
Alkaline is safe when pregnant and breastfeeding.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET ALKALINE DONE?
We recommend for best results Alkaline should be done monthly. When you do a monthly Alkaline you will get the best results for slowing down the hair growth considerably over time. After your hair growth has reduced, we then space the treatments further apart.
ALKALINE AFTERCARE:
After Alkaline hair removal you should avoid any exfoliations and retinols for 7 days. Alkaline can make you more sensitive to the sun so make sure you wear your SPF. A little bit of dryness is normal on day 2-3 after an Alkaline so soothing and hydrating products are recommended to keep the skin calm and hydrated.
